Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ll gladly jam out to the Pop Top 40. But, that doesn’t mean there isn’t other great music out there too. Here are some of the greatest unknown gems I’ve discovered.

Scars to Your Beautiful by Alessia Cara

I really like Alessia Cara’s music, but this is my favorite song by her. I love the message that she’s spreading. The chorus is also really catchy.

I Don’t Know My Name by Grace VanderWaal

Grace VanderWaal won the previous season on America’s Got Talent, and she definitely deserved to. This song is amazing… and written by Grace herself!

Inside Out by The Chainsmokers

Although this song was released this past April, I only just heard it about a week ago, and once again, The Chainsmokers never fail to impress me.

Tired of Talking by LEON

This song is on here curtesy of Spotify. I’m always listening to their “Discover Weekly” playlist which is where I found this.

Pretty Girl by Maggie Lindemann

Since I started with a song that spreads body positivity for girls, I thought I’d end with another girl power song. This is another Spotify song, and while I like it for its message, I like it more for the actual music.

Honorable Mentions:

  1. Suburbia by Troye Sivan
  2. Clean by Taylor Swift
  3. See You Again by Carrie Underwood
  4. Where We Land by Ed Sheeran
  5. Never Going Home by Hazel English
